FWhen working on Brimstone’s website, my main focus was clarity. UXO risk mitigation isn’t something most people instantly understand, so I saw the website as a chance to simplify without dumbing anything down. I spent time thinking about how users — often developers or project managers — would want to find information quickly and confidently. That led to clean layouts, clear signposting, and straightforward language supported by strong visual structure. My goal was to make a technical subject feel organised, approachable, and trustworthy from the first click.
With the brochures, leaflets, and roll-up banners, I approached the design almost like problem-solving. There’s a lot of detailed process information involved in risk assessments and mitigation, and I wanted to avoid dense, overwhelming pages. I focused on pacing the information — using layout, typography, and spacing to guide the reader naturally through each step. The result is a set of materials that feel structured and confident, but still easy to engage with, whether in a meeting room or at an industry event.
Designing the vehicle livery was about impact and practicality. These vehicles operate on active construction sites, so visibility and clarity were key. I kept the designs bold and intentional, making sure the branding was instantly recognisable while still feeling professional and controlled. For me, it was about translating the brand beyond screens and paper — creating something that feels solid, reliable, and unmistakably Brimstone wherever it’s seen.
